EXPRESSION AND CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF CTBP1 AND E-CADHERIN IN LIVER CANCER

肝癌组织CtBP1、E-钙黏蛋白的表达与临床意义*

Abstract: Objective: To explore the expression and clinical value of carboxy-terminal binding protein 1 (CtBP1) and E-cadherin in liver cancer. Methods: The expression of CtBP1 and E-cadherin in 200 liver cancer tissues and paracancerous tissues were detected by immunohistochemical staining. The relationships between CtBP1, E-cadherin expression and clinicopathological features of liver cancer, as well as the correlations between CtBP1 and E-cadherin in liver cancer were analyzed. Results: The positive expression rate of CtBP1 in liver cancer was significantly higher than that in paracancerous tissues, while the positive expression rate of E-cadherin was significantly lower (P<0.05). The CtBP1 and E-cadherin expression in liver cancer were not related to age, sex and tumor size (P>0.05); but related to TNM stage, differentiation and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). In liver cancer, the CtBP1 expression was negatively correlated with E-cadherin expression (r=-0.102, P<0.05). Conclusions: CtBP1 and E-cadherin are abnormally expressed in liver cancer, and they may have regulatory relationships, so combined detection of CtBP1 and E-cadherin is expected to be an indicator for evaluating the malignant biological behavior of liver cancer.

摘要: 目的: 探究羧基末端结合蛋白1(CtBP1)、E-钙黏蛋白(E-cadherin)在肝癌组织中的表达情况及临床意义。方法: 采用免疫组织化学染色法检测200例肝癌及癌旁组织标本CtBP1和E-钙黏蛋白的表达情况,并分析CtBP1、E-钙黏蛋白表达与肝癌临床病理特征的关系,以及肝癌组织二者表达的相关性。结果: 肝癌组织CtBP1的阳性表达率明显高于癌旁组织、E-钙黏蛋白的阳性表达率明显低于癌旁组织,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。肝癌组织CtBP1、E-钙黏蛋白表达与年龄、性别无关(P>0.05),与TNM分期、分化程度和淋巴结转移有关(P<0.05)。肝癌组织CtBP1、E-钙黏蛋白表达呈负相关关系(r=-0.102,P<0.05)。结论: 肝癌组织CtBP1和E-cadherin均呈异常表达,且二者可能存在调控关系,联合检测CtBP1、E-钙黏蛋白有望成为评估肝癌恶性生物学行为的指标。
