Objective To investigate the predictive value of triglyceride glucose product index in the incidence of coronary heart disease in non-diabetic people. Methods In this study, a total of 186 patients who were hospitalized in the Department of Cardiology, Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical University from February 2021 to February 2022 and met the inclusion criteria were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into coronary heart disease group and control group according to the results of coronary angiography. The baseline data, fasting blood lipid and blood glucose levels of the patients in both groups were recorded, and the triglyceride glucose product index was calculated. Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the incidence of triglyceride glucose product index on coronary heart disease in non-diabetic people, and the receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve predicted the predictive value of triglyceride glucose product index for coronary heart disease in non-diabetic people. Results The proportion of hypertension history, smoking, triglyceride glucose product index and total cholesterol level in the coronary heart disease group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the triglyceride glucose product index, total cholesterol, smoking, and hypertension were independent risk factors for the onset of coronary heart disease in non-diabetic patients (P<0.05) . The ROC curve showed that the area under the curve of triglyceride glucose product index predicting the onset of coronary heart disease in non-diabetic people was 0.804 (95% CI: 0.714~0.780, P<0.05). Conclusion The triglyceride glucose product index was positively correlated with the Gensini score, which has certain predictive value for the incidence of coronary heart disease in non-diabetic people.
