Objective To compare the effect of cross drainage tube with cigarette drainage after laparoscopic appendectomy for perforated appendicitis. Methods From June 2017 to June 2019, 130 patients who underwent laparoscopic appendectomy for perforated appendicitis were selected as the study object, 65 of them used cigarette drainage, and 65 of them used new cross drainage tube. Postoperative complications were observed, including abdominal abscess, encapsulated effusion in the appendix area, diarrhea, wound infection and the proportion of secondary return to hospital. The laboratory indexes include WBC, CRP and the days when procalcitonin returns to normal. Results Compared with the cross tube group, the total postoperative complications of the cigarette group were less, and there were statistically significant differences between the two groups in the following aspects (P<0.05), there was no significant difference in wound infection between the two groups (P>0.05); compared with the cross tube group, the WBC, CRP and procalcitonin in the cigarette group returned to normal quickly, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Cigarette drainage is more conducive to the extraction of pus, reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications, and is better for early recoverys.
