Objective: To study the effects of adjuvant treating chronic heart failure with rosuvastatin on cardiac function, inflammatory response and oxidative stress.
Methods: 90 chronic heart failure patients were randomly divided into study group (45 cases) and control group (45 cases). The patients in control group were given routine treatments for 3 months; On the basis of routine treatments, the patients in study group were also given rosuvastatin for 3 months. The cardiac function indexes [left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular end systolic diameter (LVESD), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and A E peak velocity ratio (E/A value)], serum inflammatory factors level [hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP),interleukin 6 (IL - 6), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α)] and plasma oxidative stress indexes [peroxidase (MPO),superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA)] of patients in 2 groups were compared.
Results: After treatment, the LVEF, E/A and SOD of patients in study group were obviously higher than control group (P<0.05); the LVEDD, LVESD, hs-CRP, IL-6, TNF-α, MPO and MDA were obviously lower than control group (P<0.05).
Conclusions: Adjuvant treating chronic heart failure with rosuvastatin on the basis of routine treatments can get definite curative effects, which can improve the cardiac function, reduce inflammatory response and oxidative stress effectively.
