RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN COMMON DIGESTIVE SYSTEM DISEASES AND HELICOBACTER PYLORI INFECTION IN CHENGDE AREA

Objective: To study the relationships between common digestive diseases and Helicobactor pylori infection in Chengde area.
Method: The gastric mucosa specimens of 1036 patients (urease test positive) with chronic gastritis, duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, complex ulcer, dyspepsia, gastric carcinoma in Chengde Central Hospital were taken for Helicobactor pylori culture.
Results: Among 1036 patients, the Helicobactor pylori were positive in 448 patients and the positive rate was 43.2%. The Helicobactor pylori positive rate in different digestive system diseases in Chengde area from high to low was dyspepsia (100%), duodenal ulcer (69.3%), complex ulcer (68.3%), gastric ulcer (49.4%), gastric carcinoma (29.3%) and chronic gastritis (19.8%).
Conclusions: In Chengde area, the common digestive diseases, such as chronic gastritis, dyspepsia, peptic ulcer and gastric cancer are closely related to Helicobactor pylori infection. Correct understanding and treatment ofHelicobacter pylori infection has positive significances for reducing disease burden and improving the life quality of patients.
